30^th June 2026: DriveTec has expanded its braking portfolio with the launch of a new bi-metallic brake disc range, strengthening its offering in the premium and performance segment of the aftermarket.

Available exclusively through GSF Car Parts, the new range builds on the continued growth of the DriveTec brand, which sold more than 6.8 million parts in 2025 and now offers one of the most comprehensive private label programmes in the UK aftermarket.

Bi-metallic brake disc technology from DriveTec also reduces reliance on main dealer supply chains, enabling workshops to carry out high-value braking repairs independently.

The introduction of bi-metallic discs marks a further step in aligning the DriveTec range with OE design trends, particularly within premium vehicle applications where weight reduction and thermal performance are increasingly important.

Manufactured using a dual-material construction, combining a cast iron braking surface with a lightweight aluminium hub, the discs deliver up to a 20% reduction in weight compared to conventional equivalents. This helps reduce unsprung mass, supporting improved handling and ride comfort, while also aiding heat dissipation under sustained braking conditions.

The result is a braking product that offers OE-matching performance characteristics, while maintaining the competitive pricing position that has driven DriveTec’s growth in the independent aftermarket.
