GSF Car Parts named Motor Factor Chain of the Year at CAT Awards 2025

28th February 2025: GSF Car Parts, the UK’s fastest growing motor factor, has thanked its customers after being named Motor Factor Chain of the Year at the CAT Awards 2025. The event saw over two hundred people gathering at Manchester’s Lowry Hotel on Thursday 27th February for one of the most prestigious fixtures of the aftermarket calendar.

GSF’s award-winning achievements over the past year follow over £100 million of key investments, all focused on serving customers better, under the mantra of “being the easiest to trade with”.

These investments include the opening of 15 new ‘greenfield’ branches, a fleet overhaul of 600 new vans, the successful launch of a 500,000 sq. ft. national distribution centre (NDC) in Wolverhampton and the creation of 525 new jobs.

GSF defied a market that was generally reported to be static by growing sales by more than 20% in 2024.

The introduction of a new ‘electronic proof of delivery’ system, the TradeHub, and a new catalogue generated over 20 million invoices in 2024 – equivalent to one every working second.

Steve Horne, CEO of GSF Car Parts, commented: “Winning Motor Factor Chain of the Year is deserved recognition for the phenomenal dedication and hard work of our entire team, as well as the valued support of our suppliers but, most importantly, our customers.

“In a challenging market, we not only achieved growth, we also set new industry performance benchmarks. Our investments in infrastructure, technology, and people have positioned us to keep growing in 2025, ensuring we continue delivering outstanding service to the customers who are at the centre of everything we do.”

Sukhpal Ahluwalia, GSF Chairman, added: “This is a hugely proud moment for the business, and winning this CAT Award has given me a chance to pause and reflect on our journey so far.

“Our success is a result of the hard work of our dedicated colleagues across the company. At GSF, we have so many passionate people who go above and beyond in our branches, warehouses, and elsewhere – day in, day out. They are truly the best in the business.

“And while today is a chance to celebrate our successes, it’s also important to say that we’re just as focused on the future. We are at the start of our amazing growth journey, and we have no plans to slow down any time soon.

“With 40 new branches on the horizon, we are laser focused on being the most convenient car parts supplier around. We are on a mission to make GSF the very best partner to independent garages up and down the country. Bar none.

“I have always believed that relationships are at the heart of every successful business. So, a big thank you to all our customers, colleagues, partners, and suppliers. This would not have been possible without you, and we cannot wait to make this year even bigger than the last.”
